Throughout Zendaya's entire career, she has been Unapologetically Black, whether it's using her platform speaking out about social and political injustices around the world, and causing a topic of conversations surrounding microaggressions by simply wearing Faux Locs. So it is no surprise that Zendaya would be one of the main supporters of the Unapologetically Black film "Queen & Slim" which is the brainchild of Film Writers/Producers/Directors Lena Waithe and Melina Matsoukas.
"Queen & Slim" is a Suspense Thrilling modern take on the classic film "Bonnie & Clyde" starring "Get Out" actor Daniel Kaluuuya and newcomer Jodie Smith. A few weeks ago, Zendaya hosted one of the few private screenings for this film.
Over the weekend, Zendaya's longtime wardrobe stylist, LAW Roach, was one of the many fashion industry creatives to participate at the Guaranty Trust Bank's Fashion Weekend in Lagos, where he was a guest speaker on a career panel. Zendaya and LAW Roach are always about looking for brand new undiscovered talent to give their platform to, so it is no surprise that LAW Roach ended up pulling some items from brands that he saw on the runways in Lagos.
For the movie premiere, Zendaya wore a textured Caftan Midi Dress from Cameroon Born, Parisian based designer Imane Ayissi, along with matching textured boots in collaboration with shoe brand Goya Paris.
For accessories, Zendaya kept her jewelry minimal by wearing the "Myles" Spiral Earrings by the brand Kendra Scott.
