With September being the beginning of the Annual Fashion Month Calendar, and being the grand debut of next year's upcoming Spring Ready To Wear Collection's at Fashion Week in New York City. Also, followed by the later consecutive Fashion Week's in London, Milan, and Paris, I see no better time to kick off this blog than now!
Speaking of September, VOGUE Magazine's September 2016 Issue with fashion model Kendall Jenner gracing the ever-coveted September Issue Cover in a Gucci Fall 2016 Ready To Wear ensemble styled by longtime VOGUE Fashion Editor Tonne Goodman, and shot by famed photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott features a fashion editorial profiling several of Young Hollywood's Rising Stars wearing the most talked about trending pieces from this year's Fall Ready To Wear Collections. With Zendaya's ever-growing popularity and notoriety from starring as Teenage Aspiring Dancer "Rocky Blue" on "Shake It Up", to starring as Teenage Secret Agent Spy "K.C. Cooper" on "K.C. Undercover" on the Disney Channel, to even being cast as Peter Parker's main leading lady "MJ" in next year's "Spider-Man: Homecoming", and to her rising profile as a red carpet fashion maven, becoming the muse for fashion designers like Fausto Puglisi(who she accompanied to her very first MET Gala last year), Dolce & Gabbana, and Michael Kors(being one of the stars of his new SmartWatch Ad Campaign), it is safe to say that Zendaya has earned her spot on this list among the other young rising stars such as Willow and Jaden Smith, Kylie Jenner, Haley Bennett, Makenzie Leigh, and Hailey Gates.
This magazine feature marks a very special feat in Zendaya's very long style journey because this is her first major feature in VOGUE Magazine's September Issue, which is the biggest in size, and has most of the advertisers thus making it the most important issue of the entire year. It is a very important sign in Zendaya's style journey because it wasn't always an easy journey according to her longtime wardrobe stylist LAW Roach. LAW Roach has always stated that it was very difficult to get major fashion brands to notice what potential as a style star that he saw in Zendaya from the start because she was just seen as the "Disney Kid", and fashion brands at the time weren't keen on courting Disney Kids for red carpet press. Now with Zendaya's graceful transition from child star to young adult star, dazzling the red carpet with many unforgettable and talked about looks under the right guidance and influence of LAW Roach, they are finally seeing the potential, and thus solidifying and elevating Zendaya's star status and her future as a Fashion Icon. It is also very important because it is a sign of Zendaya, and her longtime stylist LAW Roach establishing a very strong relationship with VOGUE Magazine, which could lead to potential VOGUE covers in the future for Zendaya.
For the editorial itself, the beauty look featured for the editorial shots served up some very natural and understated glam, which isn't unusual considering that the general beauty aesthetic for VOGUE USA is usually very natural, and always ensures putting an emphasis on enhancing the natural beauty of the models and the celebrity talent that is either gracing the Cover, or the inside editorial pages. The hairstyle for the editorial, done by Zendaya's longtime Hairstylist Kim Kimble, features Zendaya's natural soft curls pulled back into a fussy chignon. This type of hairstyle is typically used to make the outfits the focal point of the editorial.
In the first full body shot of the editorial, styled by longtime VOGUE Fashion Director Camilla Nickerson, Zendaya is modeling an array of looks from this year's Fall Collections. The statement piece of the entire look is an oversized military Burberry Black Wool Blend Pea Coat from the Burberry Fall 2016 RTW Collection. Underneath the Military-inspired Pea Coat, you can see a glimpse of the J.W. Anderson Metallic Tuxedo Top(available in White) from the J.W. Anderson Fall 2016 RTW Collection.
For the rest of the outfit, the look was accessorized with winter tights, consisting of the Prada Wool Knit Argyle Tights from Prada's Fall 2016 RTW Collection. While completing the cohesive winter look with the Louis Vuitton "Digital Gate" Booties from the Louis Vuitton Fall 2016 RTW Collection.
The fashion editorial was shot on the beaches of Los Angeles back in May by Photographer Harley Weir, styled b longtime VOGUE Magazine Fashion Director Camilla Nickerson, hair provided by Zendaya's longtime personal Hairstylist Kim Kimble, and Manicure provided by Manicurist Emi Kudo for Dior Vernis.
