Lancôme Extends Zendaya’s “Idôle” Line With A New Mascara!


Zendaya for Lash Idôle

Well, it's finally here! Today is the official launch day of Zendaya's new signature Mascara with Parisian cosmetics brand Lancôme Paris! Last year, Zendaya announced her new role as the Global Brand Ambassadress for Lancôme Paris and helped the brand debut their brand new Fragrance "Idôle" by being the face of the official ad campaign. Now, Lancôme has decided to expand its "Idôle" line with a brand new mascara called "Lash Idôle", and naturally, Zendaya is the face of this new face of this mascara too after previewing it at the Emmys.

"Idôle" is Lancôme's answer for the new generation of young, strong, and empowered women, so it is no surprise that the "Idôle" line is expanding beyond just its signature award-winning perfume. The "Lash Idôle" Mascara is the first expansion of the "Idôle" to be released, with the early release dropping just in time for Christmas. 

The Lash Idôle Mascara

Touted as the "Mascara of the New Generation" the "Lash Idôle" Lifting and Volumizing Mascara has a formula that is made to give the wearer 24 hours' worth of coverage for all-day wear. The brush design is curved and compact with 360 micro bristles designed to prevent clumping and to give for a more voluminous eyelash look that is ensured to give a proper lift and a naturally fanned out and naturally feathered eyelash appearance.

In the official campaign shots, Zendaya is not only wearing the "Lash Idôle" fragrance but a full glam makeup all courtesy of Lancôme. The eyes are the most prominent feature of Zendaya's makeup look and naturally, Zendaya's mascara is the Lash Idôle Lifting and Volumizing Mascara

The following two items were used to make the mascara stand front and center: the Le Crayon Khôl Eyeliner in Black Ebony and the Hypnôse Eyeshadow Palette in Fraicheur Rose.  


Zendaya is known for having some of the best eyebrows in the business, so for her bold signature brows in this look Lancôme Brow Shaping Powdery Pencil in 08 Dark Brown was used.


Zendaya is known to take really good care of her skin, which makes her Makeup Artist's job easier because there is no excellent makeup without a good canvas. For the foundation, Zendaya used the Teint Idôle Ultra Wear in 425 Bisque Warm. For that rosy blush, the Blush Subtil in 351 Blushing Tresor, and for the shimmering Highlight, Zendaya wore the Dual Finish Highlighter in 02 Luminous Gold and 03 Radiant Rose Gold.


Considering that this look had such a bold eye, one has to balance it out with a nude lip, so Zendaya opted to wear the L'Absolu Rouge Ruby Cream Lipstick in 306 Vintage Ruby.


What would this "Idôle" look be without the signature fragrance, which this time is the new "Idôle L'Intense" which is an intensified version of the original "Idôle" fragrance.

As for the ad campaign itself, the aesthetic is very similar to the aesthetic of the original "Idôle" commercial, with Zendaya in the same hilltop location this time not showing off her equestrian skills, but this time archery skills.
